One or another wine was someone's favorite, but more people singled out the Carminucci Marche Bianco as a wine that delivered a lot of crisp character for a reasonable price. The Mas De Gourgonnier Les Alpilles and the Chateau Pesquie Quintessanc Both were a lot wine for the money, deep but with different flavors that led tasters to ask for second or third tastes.

What: a blend of exotic Pecorino with local grape varieties
Where: Italy, Marche on the Adriatic Sea
Why: The Sea Grotto wonderfully expressive, piquant, lively, and fresh; great value
