Now’s the time for seafood and chicken on the grill and lighter food for warm weather. This week’s wines will treat your palate to a Mediterranean oceanside adventure. We chose them for their individuality and character, which will add an accent to the summer foods. They’re not heavy but delicately flavored and nuanced wines. Three are from Provence and its neighbors, a Picpoul and two contrasting summer savory Rhone white blends; a wine from the Adriatic riviera, and a savory unusual Corsican. A white Bordeaux is a geographic but not flavor outlier. Delicately herbed and spiced, these are more exciting meal partners than the usual Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, or Pinot Grigio.
