Bachelors and bachelorettes left last week's tasting in the same state in which they had arrived, but several people found a pairing with the wines, in a couple of cases even love..

The sparkling pink Lucien Albrecht Cremant d'Alsace got the greatest number of likes. Not only did it have a friendly and easy-going disposition but a very nice srawberry-tinted fPinot Noir ruit at a low maintenance price.
Some loved the richness and chalk of the all Chardonnay Le Mesnil Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Champagne. Of course it was quite a bit more expensive.
The Love Block Sauvignon Blanc kept up to its name, it was as many people said not the smoky, grassy style of Sauvignon Blanc that they expected from New Zealand but rather rounded and soft.
Some people were infatuated with the cru Beaujolais Domaine de Vissoux, Chermette St. Amour. Even at the age of three it got better in the glass as time went on. One person who was knowledgeable in cru Beaujolais pronounced it extraordinary.
The sweet Marenco Brachetto d’Acqui was new to many people but once they thought of it as a red equivalent of Moscato dusty it got a lot of favor.
