Austrian Landhaus MeyerRose was the most popular at the cash register. People bought it for its bright and fruity personality as much as for its low $13 price. It is last week’s best candidate for an all-around back porch or with food rose.

The Commanderie de Peyrassol was equally popular at the register, but people’s opinions were divided It is a wine of delicacy and finesse. that appealed to rose lovers but did not to drinkers of heartier reds.
The 2018 La Spinetta Il Rose di Casanova is a wonderful wine, but it needed aior exposure to really strut its stuff. Early tasters found it blank, Later ones rhapsodized about its richness and complexity.
Lots of favorable comments about the spice and intensity of the 2018 Lorenzo Negro Rosato San Martin. People thought it would be a very good pairing with marinated grill meats and oriental foods. People also liked the fruit-acid balance of the Provencal BargemoneRose.
The Margerum 2018 Riviera Rose’s spice and structure was a pleasant surprise for those Europhiles who looked down their palates at California Rose.
