Pomerol

Chateau Plince 2018

“offers up notions of espresso, cedar chest, menthol, and tar over a core of preserved plums and baked blackberries with a waft of bouquet garni. The medium to full-bodied palate is jam-packed with black fruit preserves and savory layers, framed by grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long with a minerally lift.”

Chateau Rouget 2018

expressive scents of baked black cherries, blackberry preserves, and boysenberries with hints of underbrush, pencil lead, and cedar chest, plus a waft of bouquet garni. The full-bodied palate is chock-full of muscular, oak-infused black fruit with lots of earthy accents and a sturdy frame of firm, grainy tannins, finishing just a little warm and tannic.

Chateau Latour A Pomerol 2018

a deep garnet-purple color and a relatively understated nose of stewed plums, baked blackberries and redcurrant jelly, plus suggestions of unsmoked cigars, cloves and pencil shavings. The medium to full-bodied palate has a sturdy frame of chewy tannins and plenty of freshness supporting the earth and mineral-tinged red and black fruits, finishing long and savory.

Esperance de Trotanoy 2018

comes skipping out of the glass with fabulously open, youthful scents of blueberry preserves, Morello cherries, fruitcake and cinnamon stick with touches of menthol, chocolate box and potpourri. The medium to full-bodied palate delivers lovely freshness, lifting the rich, spicy black and blue fruit layers to a long, seductively soft-textured finish. Scrumptious!

St Emilion

Announce de Belair-Monange 2018

the “second wine” of Chateau Belair Monange—has a medium to deep garnet-purple color and compelling notions of Morello cherries, black raspberries, and baked plums, with hints of pencil lead, bay leaves, damp soil, and spice cake. The full-bodied palate delivers seriously impressive freshness with a fine-grained texture and bags of juicy red and black fruits, finishing long and spicy.

Chateau Belair-Monange 2018

Rolls effortlessly out of the glass with gregarious scents of black cherry preserves, stewed plums, and boysenberries, plus suggestions of Indian spices, rose oil, Ceylon tea, and garrigue, with a waft of tilled soil. The rich, seductive, full-bodied palate is laden with black fruit preserves and exotic spice layers, framed by velvety tannins and seamless freshness, finishing long and fragrant. Wonderfully hedonic and conceivably drinkable now, give it 4-5 years in the cellar to allow the earthy/savory nuances to fully emerge from within the fruit and drink it over the next 25 years or more.

2014 Ulysses- Robert Parker

92% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The wine is dense purple, with sweet cedar wood, unsmoked cigar tobacco, crème de cassis, and black raspberries in a classic, almost St.-Julien/Pauillac style
