Spring into Summer - Two Whites, Two Rosés, Two Reds

Tasters thought the 2016 Gadais Muscadet was in a very good place right now, to drink as a roundly-fruited aperitif or to pair with seafood. There were absolutely no complaints about its $13.99 price. It sold out at the tasting but we expect more in the next day or two.

The 2017 Tour Campanets Coteaux d'Aix Bois des Fees Blanc was brighter and more intense in its attack and appealed more to those who preferred a bit more sitting in their wine.

People loved the Provençal herbaceousness of the 2017 Ch de Roquefort Cotes de Provence Corail Rose. Many were already fans of the wine through the several vintages of which we have offered. There was general agreement that this iteration might be the best yet. We strongly recommend it at its 16.99 price.

The other provence rose, 2017 Tour Campanets Coteaux d'Aix, was crisper and dryer. Some others preferred it for those qualities.

The 2016 Antoine Sunier Morgon was a clear tasters' favorite. People really like its freshness and very pretty poise. We offered it likely chilled. You will find it delicious if you do likewise.

Many tasters found the 2013 Ch. Flotis Fronton Cuvee Jeanne to be a new animal. Animal it was; dark and brooding in color, medium in body full of the heavy aromatics of the Negrette grape, people thought it would make an excellent barbecue wine. Serve lightly chilled also.
