Peter writes, "Last week’s tasting was well attended and the wines were well received. We began with the 2015 Naveran Dama Cava which showed plenty of character from the Chardonnay with which it is made. If you like sparkling wine this will definitely make you happy."

Champagne: 5 Estates, 2 Growers, 14 Wines - October 24th

The usual large group came for our fourth yearly October artisanal champagne tasting. Briefly, Bernard Dumont's wines were very attractively priced and were the most purchased wines of the tasting. Tasters did and you can through through Friday mix any bottles from the tasting for 10% off six to eleven and 15% off twelve or more bottles.

Peter writes, "Luigi Coppo led us through a tasting of his family’s Piedmont wines. Over the years the Coppo Winery has developed a reputation for being specialists in Barbera. The two we tasted had richness, precision, focus and balance."
