Consensus at our Wednesday tastings is more absent than present, but if there was one it coalesced around the Talmard Macon-Chardonnay and was that at its price it provided great fruit and a surprising degree of breadth.

Aside from that, tasters seem to like all of the other wines to varying degrees and for different purposes; the Domaine Houchart for its freshness and lift, and the 2017 Argiolas Costamolino Vermentinofor its spice and rich fruit.
The 2017 Valle Reale Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo Rosato was very light in color but that did not detract from its fresh flavors. We sold out at the tasting but more is coming in today.
We have just bottles left of the 2015 Nicolas Chemarin Beaujolais Villages - people were surprised and pleased at its depth and structure. The 2015 Maison l'Envoye Pinot Noir Two Messengers was a bit tight at the beginning of the tasting but got rave reviews for its character and complexity as it opened with air.
