Mossburn & Torabhaig Distillers
with Brian Johnson
THURSDAY March 13, 5:30.
Back by popular demand, please join us next Thursday (3/13) when brand ambassador, Brian Johnson from Mossburn Distillers and Blenders will join us to revisit some whiskies we tried back in August as well as introduce two new wonderful drams.
First, from Mossburn, we are excited to offer a batch strength Speyside blended malt Scotch whisky finished in Domaine Dupont Calvados casks. Don’t let the batch strength label intimidate you. This is one elegant whisky, when once a bit of water is added, notes of honeysuckle swarm your palate.
And second, from Torabhaig, I was blown away by the highly anticipated third chapter of the Torabhaig Legacy Series, Cnoc Na Moine. It is an amazingly well-balanced dram that seamlessly integrates subtle notes of peat from a blend of Bourbon, American Oak Oloroso, and Pedro Ximenez casks.
The tasting is free, and the lineup is as follows:
Mossburn
Speyside 12 Y.O. Foursquare Cask (57.7%) Regular $75.99 – Tasting Price $68
Speyside 12 Y.O. Calvados Cask finish (57.2%) Regular $75.99 – Tasting Price $68
Royal Brackla 9 Y.O. (46%) Regular $71. – Tasting Price $64
Blair Athol 10 Y.O. (46%) Regular $83 – Tasting Price $74.99
Torabhaig
Allt Gleann (46%) Regular $63 – Tasting Price $56
Alt Gleann Cask Strength $85 – Tasting Price $77
Cnoc Na Moine Legacy Series Ch. 3 (46%) Regular $63 – Tasting Price $56
