Jaam M.

Joseph-Jibril, the artisanal project of two young winemakers, is one of the new guard of California winemaking. They work with organically farmed vineyards and have a minimal-intervention approach to winemaking.

We are happy to welcome Somerville native Jaam Moyniham, though his middle name the Jibril of the pair. to conduct our tasting with a generous sampling of his wines. He has done stints in Spain, Bordeaux, South Australia, and the Sonoma coast to deepen his perspective of the trade.

As you will hear , he has a holistic outlook, feeling that his involvement integrates artistry, science, and the social, science and physicality. They make clean, lively, delicious, wines, with minimal intervention and a focus on organic farming. They work with fine Sonoma County fruit, focusing on single vineyard Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet Franc, as well as a Beaujolais-inspired carbonic Pinot Noir, rosé and more!

.

I found their wines to very, very good, nicely balanced, which integrate pleasure and expression. Open and refreshing, they‘ll be perfect for the season.
