The Hatozaki Small Batch 12 is delightful. A blend of 12-year-old single malts spends six more months in bespoke barrels that previously held superior Umeshu plum liquor. Time in the plum cask adds a beautiful light fruit accent to the finish.

The mouth has a rich malt profile, with hints of iodine notes, fresh pear, apricots, and a delicate hint of malty honey. The yellow plum finish brings a lasting touch of finesse and elegance.
Hartozaki’s Yonezawa family has been distilling since 1917, making it part of their legacy ever since. They are still innovating, with new copper twin pot-stills in a new facility specially designed for Single Malt Whisky
