A Classy White Burgundy for Cocktail or Seafood

Most people don’t know what to make of white Beaujolais . It’s NOT the gamay parallel to white Zinfandel, but Chardonnay, which could be lebeled Macon if it wanted to be more pedestrian. While people were snapping up the Kermit Lynch’s highly regarded Dupeuble estate reds, the equally excellent white was left lagging. They didn’t know what they were missing. The wine is engaging and pure with notes of greengage plum and apple, nicely tactile in the mouth, nicely rich and smooth with just a touch of soft green acid. We tried it and took all there was.
2018 Domaine Dupeuble Beaujolais Blanc; Aroma: light nice stony edge, light yeast note; Mouth: ripe green plum & apple, nicely fleshy & broad with moderate acidity, bracing peach pit on a long finish; Very Good Plus
2018 Dupeuble Beaujolais Blanc was $19.99 Now 16.99, 14.99 Net with any 12 bottles.
