2023 Stein Weihwasser Feinherb Riesling

Not for nothing does Stein call this riesling "Weihwasser" holy water. It is heavenly; in my mind, it is the perfect Riesling. The ideal amount of fruit on the palate, fleshy texture, and electrifying acidity will convince you from the first sip.
It comes from the impossibly steep St. Aldegunder Klosterkammer vineyard in the lower Mosel. It is grown and fermented by Ulli Stein, passionate about steep slopes and dry wines.
It is a stunning "Feinherb" Riesling, which means it has just the tiniest pearl of residual sugar - for breadth, not for sweetness to perfectly balance its zesty acidity and ripe fruit.
Asian pear, lychee, and salty lemon, light and fresh with backbone to boot, off-dry finish. This wine definitely can argue that it is the Swiss Army Knife of food pairings. I would love to drink this every day. Excellent $23.99, Case $19.99
