2015 Iota Vineyards ‘Not One Iota’ Pinot Noir
Quality and Richness
December 15, 2019
We were stunned with the quality and richness of a new Oregon Pinot Noir that just crossed our palates. Only 728 cases of this wine were made, only 14 available here
Iota is the label for hand-crafted Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays that the owners make from their own higher altitude vineyard in Willamette’s Eola-Amity subregion. The sustainably grown grapes are hand harvested, and sorted, destemmed, whole-berry fermented and aged in oak. They do sell some grapes to Bergstrom and Beau Frere. Only 728 cases of this wine were made.
The 2015 growing season was hot and dry which made for very rich deep fruited wines that are a Willamette nod to California. There is a lashing of oak that supports the fruit. This is a head6y very rich Pinot that will be perfect for richer holiday meals . Goose anyone?
