Some of Our Favorite Bordeaux

There were few surprises last week. The  Chateau de Ribebon, was voted  Best Value, largely for its low price and affable fruit.
March 20, 2019

People then split in their evaluations, kudos for the smooth more elegant wine, the 2010 Moulin de la Lagune. The 2015 Ch de Malleret, also an Haut Medoc, got an honorable mention for its value for the money.

Those who wanted a heartier, more robust wine favored the rich oak and fruit of the Ch Tour St. Cristophe, a st. Emilion Grand Cru. The 2014 Puy Blanquet  showed as strong but with  a denser   and more focused leanear thrust from  its tannins. It was more divisive. Some loved it for its drive and power; others loved it the less, a matter of taste.

The other St. Emilion, 2015 Ch. La Caze Bellevue was thought a nicely pretty wine and good value at $20
