Prearrival
2007 Port Offer

2007 ports, in the third declared vintage of the decade, have a different style than those of 2000 and 2003. The few I have tasted so far are more wines of purity and finesse than they are of power. Their acids are styroing and their tannins fine, which does indicate that they can age, but they don’t show the raw tannins that that have made so many of the previous two vintages so difficult to approach young. My read so far is that this will be a fine vintage toi drink while waitimng for the more massive 2003s and 200s to come around.

My notes on three below. I will put them as well as critics' notes on our web site tonight.
